Convoy of Hope

On Saturday, April 26, Healing Hands had the pleasure of partnering with Church of the King
along with their mobile medical and our dental unit 'Mo' for a Convoy of Hope outreach in Mandeville, LA. The outreach comprised of health and dental screenings to the poor of that community all for the cause of Christ. A real and genuine touch to show many who feel forgotten after Hurricane Katrina that they are still loved. Healing Place Church's very own Cooking for Christ team cooked up 3,000 plates of red beans and rice for the occasion also. A real team effort and one that I know will yield a harvest for the King.

I had the pleasure of driving Big Mo to Mandeville's Fountainbleu Park on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain this day. I know that the heart of the ministry at Church of the King is to do more for the hurting people in their community with expanded services for His Glory! They loved the dental unit and the testimony of God's faithfulness in how it was provided. A real miracle that encouraged them to believe for one of their very own.

I know that a seed was planted this day for a dental component of their medical ministry and I could not help but believe that the rain that held off all day until the event was over was indeed God Himself watering the seed that was planted!

Because He Lives,
Joseph LeBlanc
